Available for 2024

To Santa Fe County 2024 Graduate

The Santa Fe Federated Republican Women is offering a $2,000 scholarship to a high school senior, living in Santa Fe County, who will be entering college or an accredited vocational program in the fall of 2024. The winner will receive an award of $2,000 which will be awarded directly to the institution.

The award will be granted based on an essay. As an enhancement to the application for use in breaking ties, we may ask for grade point averages, as well as scholastic and extracurricular accomplishments. Essays must include a title and bibliography, and direct quotes should be identified in footnotes. Please pay attention to the essay evaluations stated on the application form.

This Essay Contest asks students to consider the importance and relevance of traditional New Mexican values - faith, family and freedom - in respect to the US constitution and the impact of government on our society. To that end, we also suggest each applicant look at the Santa Fe Republican Women’s mission statement on our website: www.santafefrw.com.
